Bath Fashion Museum

I emailed Bath Fashion Museum about the possibility of viewing a 1920s suit, however they did not have any suits which specifically matched my criteria and by the time I had emailed back the next day the time slots had all gone and I would have finished the project by the time I got a slot. I will try and find another option to view a suit for primary research.

Hello,
I previously emailed about the possibility of viewing any 1920's suits that you have in your collection. I am specifically looking for a 1920’s American double-breasted pinstripe three-piece suit, but any suits close to this specification would be very helpful to my research. I am currently in my third year studying Costume with Performance Design at the Arts University Bournemouth and would appreciate any help you could give me with this project. Please let me know if this is a possibility and if you have a study table available soon.
Kind regards,
Elly

Dear Elly
Many thanks for your enquiry and apologies for the delay of my reply. I have been checking with the Curator as to whether we have any relevant pieces in the Fashion Museum collection to help you with your research. I don’t think that we have anything from the 1920s, but we do have a suit worn by American president Franklin D. Roosevelt a little later.
Please do let me know whether this would be of interest and I will be pleased to book you a study appointment. The next available dates are Thursday 7th March at 11am-1pm or Friday 22nd March at 2-4pm.
With best wishes
Elaine

Hi Elaine, would it be possible to have the second session on the 22nd of march, I will be working on a second project by then as well which will also be on tailoring so would it be possible to look at any other suits you have in your collection as well. I will know more details nearer the time on the style of the second suit.
Thanks
Elly

Dear Elly
Many thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, we are now fully booked on Friday 22nd March and this was the last remaining date available. Appointments are allocated on first come first served basis and there has been so much demand over the past week.
Bookings for April will open on Monday 4th February so please do get in touch again then.
With best wishes
Elaine

Full Time Plan

This is the plan I have created to help me to plan my time effectively whist working on EMP. The first half of the plan is quite full as this is my self-directed project so it is easier for me to plan for. I am unsure of exactly what I will be doing for The Threepenny Opera so I am unable to currently plan for it. Nearer to the time of starting the second half of the project I shall update my plane. Throughout the project I will create weekly plans to help me to plan my time effectively and to make sure I keep on track.
